The TACTER-31M is the latest and most advanced in Tadiran Communications’ TACTER legacy line of powerful, portable and extremely rugged military computers. TACTER computers are extensively used by the US military as well as by other modern armed forces across the globe, and have proved themselves in combat, under the most demanding operational conditions.
The TACTER-31M features the most powerful processor in its class—the Intel Pentium M 1.8GHz— providing high-power computing that enhances the TACTER-31M’s wide range of military applications, to include:
- Situation Awareness terminal Utilizing C4I software, the TACTER-31M provides advanced situation awareness to the maneuvering forces, maximizing coordination between forces at the different command levels, thereby maximizing their survivability, accuracy and lethality.
- Communications Controller
Utilizing the latest communication protocols—among them TCP/IP and MIL-STD-188-220— the TACTER-31M’s platform supports simultaneous connectivity to two independent tactical radio nets, as well as LANs and other networks.

The TACTER-31M comes in two configurations:
- 6.4” display version—designed to be used by combat field-soldiers (for hand-held dismounted use) and command vehicles (mounted use)
- 10.4” display version—designed for command vehicles and deployed command centers.

Target Acquisition and Dissemination
- According to the Forward Observer's GPS location, the TACTER-31M
automatically and accurately calculates the target coordinates, and transmits them to other units via a tactical radio.
Medical applications
- The TACTER-31M's MEDEVAC feature facilitates medical treatment by allowing users to easily define the type of injuries, the number of casualties and the coordinates of the pickup point.
